Thanks for the comment John. I just read your post "The Challenge of Being a Generalist." I agree, real artists ship and the mindset of a producer & consumer are significantly different.
In an effort to produce more things before jumping to the next idea I&#039ve been trying to throttle my intake of new ideas before finishing a project. It&#039s slightly based on Walter Murch&#039s comment that he refuses to watch any other films while editing a project.
Keep up the writing. I&#039d love to read more.

This is a great article - even if I have to brag on my son. I think it puts the whole decision in a different light. The bottom line is - we get what we voted for.

I&#039m excited about the time when the internet will be linked semantically. It certainly would be cool to see all the links between ideas.

I think that the benefit of hierarchies when it comes to learning is that they make it easy to tell a story about the knowledge. Friedman wrote this way because he was from this school etc...
